Dorry studied violin at The Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal Academy of Music. She studied composition with Malcolm Singer and Dominic Muldowney.

She is a multi-instrumentalist composer who specialises in recording strings - violin, viola and cello.

Her current role as ‘Head of Strings’ for multi-award winning podcast network, Noiser involves recording the strings for soundtracks throughout each show and composing hundreds of pieces, including theme tunes for the gold award winning, Real Dictators series. Many of Noiser’s series have been aquired by BBC sounds.

​Her compositions have been used on the TV show Britain's Got Talent and for the ITV documentary 'A Very British Appeal' about the Disasters Emergency Committee, hosted by Rageh Omaar.

She has composition credits for the TV series 'Passenger' (ITV, ITVX and Britbox in March 2024), and for ITV America and channel 5’s 'The real story of the Boston Strangler' (2019).​

​In June 2024 she​ wrote the theme song and much of the sound track for 'There and Gone: South Street' , A podcast by Glass Entertainment

​Recent compositions include theme tunes for an audio book of Sherlock Holmes short stories narrated by Hugh Bonneville ​​​​​​​​​and for an upcoming audio book of Pride and prejudice narated by Julie Andrews.

Other clients have included Sony, BMW (music for the award winning 'Drive To Succeed' series), Spotify original podcasts, Tough Mudder, Lacoste, The Wildlife Trust and Tearfund.

​As well as writing and recording her own music, Dorry records strings for singer-songwriters and composers writing for radio, TV and film. She has worked with Keaton Henson for many years on multiple projects including workshopping the strings for the film Supernova and she recently recorded violin and viola for his album Somnambulant Cycles including the lead single ‘Try’.
